I know that some people, when they want to distract a cat or a puppy, will put coins inside a soda can and then put masking tape over the hole to cover it. They shake the soda cans to rattle the coins when puppy/kitty go where they're not allowed. Maybe that would work for this exercise, in those all-digital households?
