Yes, I was so amazed, and a little angry when I discovered how much money I had been wasting for years on cleaning products. I had been told that only bleach would kill mold and mildew, but I'm allergic to bleach! Well, vinegar does a great job, too. We use vinegar now to clean all the livestock dishes. Unfortunately, only bleach is approved for the large dairy farms. Hopefully, we can raise a generation of smarter stewards of the planet, one diaper at a time.

I love to see blog posts like yours that advocate the use of plain ole vinegar, a pure laundry soap and baking soda. I make my own household cleaners as well using the same ingredients. Even when I add therapeutic grade essential oils, which have disinfectant properties as well as providing a wonder smell, the cost is only about 50 cents per liter. Compare that to the 'natural' cleaners found in natural food stores at $12 a liter--made with the same ingredients!
