Posted by Lorelei  Published in Play, creativity, food, health & safety

C is for Cookie

Posted by Lorelei  Published in creativity, education, lessons

A new week full of activities is posted, C is for Cookie! This is a beginning alphabet theme, where the child is introduced to the shape of the letter C, and the “kuh” sound. On Monday, you can introduce the theme by serving breakfast cookies. Show your child how when you take a [...]

Posted by Lorelei  Published in Kitchen Helps, food, health & safety, parenting

As I reported earlier in Raw for Life, I won the Dr. Ann Wigmore Raw and Living Foods Home Study Program. I’ve had the course for a couple of months now, and I’m still not even half way through all the information! I’m on information-overload, I think. But the small steps I’ve [...]

Wonderful WIC

Posted by Lorelei  Published in education, food, health & safety, penny wise

Years ago when my husband and I were young, we struggled to make ends meet. We were both full-time students, with one infant and another on the way. For about a year we lived in subsidized housing. We used food stamps, medical assistance, and stood in lines to receive government commodities distributions. [...]
